Location: Websites – (Web site name) – Edit

Required Setup: In order to view this page, you must be assigned the role of General Manager, Marketing Manager, or a custom role that includes the Solution permission.

Scope: This feature is available for Kigo Plan 2 and above.

About Kigo Websites Edit

The Kigo websites editor is an administrative panel where you can make changes to your web site. The editor opens in a new tab where you have access WordPress as well as the Kigo application.

Kigo Web Sites Editor

  1. At the top-left of the page is a toolbar that gives you quick access to WordPress features, Kigo application tools, and links to your web sites.
  2. At the top-right side of the page you can find page-specific menus. These menus apply to WordPress tools only and do not display for Kigo tools.
  3. On the left side of the page, the main navigation menu provides the tools for you to modify your Kigo web sites. Both WordPress and Kigo tools are available. These tools are divided by their administrative function. Hovering over or clicking the administrative function displays a list of the tools available for that function.
  4. In the center of the page you can view the currently open tool. The Dashboard page appears by default. The first time you open the Kigo Websites editor a welcome message appears here.

Field Definitions

Toolbar

  • (WordPress)
    • About WordPress: This option displays the About page.
    • WordPress.org: This option displays the WordPress.org web site. Note that selecting this option will take you away from Kigo Websites.
    • Documentation: This option displays the Codex page on the WordPress.org web site, which contains the WordPress codex (knowledgebase). Note that selecting this option will take you away from Kigo Websites.
    • Support forums: This option displays the Forums page on WordPress.org. Note that selecting this option will take you away from Kigo Websites.
    • Feedback: This option displays the Requests and Feedback page on WordPress.org. Note that selecting this option will take you away from Kigo Websites.
  • My sites
    • Dashboard: This option displays the Dashboard page.
    • New post: This option displays the Add new post page.
    • Manage comments: This option displays the Comments page.
    • Visit site: This option displays your web site.
  • (View Site)
    • Visit Site: This option displays your web site.
  • (Comments): This option displays the Comments page.
  • New
    • Post: This option displays the Add new post page.
    • Media: This option displays the Upload new media page.
    • Page: This option displays the Add new page page.
    • User: This option displays the Add new user page.
  • Kigo app
    • Manage properties: This option displays the Properties page in the Kigo application.
    • Set up property finders: This option displays the Property finders page in the Kigo application.
    • Set up attractions: This option displays the Attractions page in the Kigo application.
    • Add specials: This option displays the Specials page in the Kigo application.
    • Optional services: This option displays the Additional services page in the Kigo application.
  • Howdy
    • Edit my profile: This option displays the Profile page.
    • Logout: This option log you off of Kigo Websites.

  • Dashboard
    • Home: This option displays the Dashboard page.
    • My sites: This option displays the My sites page.
  • Posts
    • All posts: This option displays the Posts page.
    • Add new: This option displays the Add new post page.
    • Categories: This option displays the Categories page.
    • Tags: This option displays the Tags page.
  • Media
    • Library: This option displays the Media library page.
    • Add new: This option displays the Upload new media page.
  • Pages
    • All pages: This option displays the Pages page.
    • Add new: This option displays the Add new page page.
  • Comments: This option displays the Comments page.
  • Appearance
    • Themes: This option displays the Themes page.
    • Customize: This option displays a page where you may customize your web site. This page takes you away from the Navigation menu. Click X to return to the menu.
    • Widgets: This option displays the Widgets page.
    • Menus: This option displays the (Menus) page.
    • Background: This option displays a page where you may customize your web site. This page takes you away from the Navigation menu. Click X to return to the menu.
    • Theme options: This option displays the Theme options page.
  • Users
    • All users: This option displays the Users page.
    • Add new: This option displays the Add new user page.
    • Your profile: This option displays the Profile page.
  • Tools
    • Available tools: This option displays the Tools page.
    • Import: This option displays the Import page.
    • Export: This option displays the Export page.
    • Delete site: This option displays the Delete site page.
    • Redirection: This option displays the Redirections page.
  • Settings
    • General: This option displays the General settings page.
    • Writing: This option displays the Writing settings page.
    • Reading: This option displays the Reading settings page.

  • Kigo
    • General: This option displays the General page.
    • Property and search settings: This option displays the Property and search settings page.
    • Slideshow: This option displays the Slideshow setup page.
    • Take me live: This option displays the Take me live page.
    • Data sync: This option displays the Data sync setup page.
    • Initial setup: This option displays the Initial setup page.
    • Advanced: This option displays the Advanced options page.
    • Translations: This option displays the Manage translations page.
    • SSL configuration: This option displays the SSL configuration page.
  • Collapse menu: This option hides the Navigation menu.

Page Menus

  • Screen options: This option displays the Show on screen tab. You can select the items you want to show on the current page from this tab.
  • Help: This option displays the WordPress help tab. You can view general WordPress help for the current page and access the WordPress codex from this tab.

Accessing Kigo Websites Editor

  1. Click the Websites menu. A list of all Kigo web sites associated with your account appears.
  2. Click the Edit option next to a web site to open it in a the editor.
