Location: Websites – (Web site name) – Edit – Kigo – Initial Setup

Required Setup: In order to view this page, you must be assigned the role of General Manager, Marketing Manager, or a custom role that includes the Solution permission.

Scope: This feature is available for Kigo Plan 2 and above.

About the Initial Setup Page

From the Initial setup page, you can verify that the domain you want to use is set up correctly. If the domain name (site URL) you enter does not match the domain name your Account Manager entered in the Kigo application, after you save your changes a message will appear prompting you to change your Kigo web site URL. You may also select your web site's logo from this page.

Field Definitions

  • Site URL: If you need to add or update the URL for your web site, enter the new URL here.
  • Site Logo: This shows the logo for your web site. If you need to add or update the site logo, click the Change logo button and select the logo. If you do not have a logo selected, your web site uses the application logo.
  • API key: If you need to add or update the application programming interface (API) key for your web site, enter the API key here. If you do not have an API key, contact Kigo Support (support@kigo.net) to obtain one.

Completing the Initial Setup

  1. From the Initial setup page, enter your site URL in the Site URL field.
  2. Enter your API key in the API key field.
  3. Select a site logo, in needed.
  4. Click the Save changes button.
  5. If the site URL you enter does not match the one in the Kigo application settings, a message appears prompting you to change it. Click the Click here link to update the URL to the one in the Kigo application settings, or contact Kigo Support (support@kigo.net) if you want to keep the URL you entered.

Validating API Key

  1. Enter the API key in the API key field.
  2. Click Validate. If the API key is valid, a box appears with the message "This is a valid api key."  If a message appears indicating the API key is not valid, contact Kigo Support (support@kigo.net). When your API key is invalid, no properties or data from the Kigo application can show on your web site.
  3. Click OK.

Changing the Site Logo

  1. Click the Change logo button.
  2. If you want to select the logo from your computer:
    • Click the From computer tab.
    • Click the Select files button and select an image from your computer.
    • Enter a title in the Title field.
    • Enter additional options for the image, if needed. These include the alternative text, caption, description, URL link, alignment, and/or size.
    • Click the Insert into post button.
  3. If you want to select a logo from a URL:
    • Click the From URL tab.
    • Enter the URL into the URL field.
    • Enter a title for the image into the Title field.
    • Enter additional options for the image, if needed. These include the alternative text, image caption, alignment, and an image link.
    • Click the Insert into post button.
  4. If you want to select an image from the media library:
    • Click the Media library tab.
    • Click the Show link.
    • Enter a title for the image into the Title field.
    • Enter additional options for the image, if needed. These include the alternative text, caption, description, URL link, alignment, and/or size.
    • Click the Insert into post button.
  5. Click the Save changes button.
